TinierMe Review

TinierMe is a really popular social online game, filled with cute and creative anime characters. Maybe you’re heard of it, want to try it out, or are already playing it. Although a lot of people enjoy it (including myself), it’s definitely not a game for everyone.

Overview

Many people can debate what the point of the game is, mainly because there’s so much you can do with it. If you’re a fashionista type, you can concentrate on your avatar; collecting  and trading clothing items. If you’re talkative and a blogger, you can spend hours in chatrooms, and blog in your diary for all your friends to see. Speaking of blogging, if you’re a writer, you can share in your diary your poems, short stories or chapters as well. If you’re artistic or a great HTML coder, you can create pictures or profiles for other people, and they’ll pay you in expensive clothing items. Personally, I’m a little mix of everything besides the artistic and coding stuff.

Pros

• The game is updated a LOT, like 3-5 times a month. This is super rare in online games. In these updates, they give you plenty of events and new limited items to keep you occupied.
• There’s great trading system, so if you want an item, find someone who has it!
• There are mini-games you can play to earn more chibi coins (TinierMe in-game currency).
• TinierMe is also connected to Facebook, and you can get special Facebook-only items if you get gifts from friends, particularly Magic Boxes.
• An awesome place to roleplay.
• If you think you have enough clothing items, you can compete in player hosted Fashion Shows. You change accordingly to the theme, and depending if they give prizes, you can win new items!

Cons

• Almost all the good items have to be paid with G-coins; TinierMe currency you have to pay for with real money. This really is a big downer for a lot of people.
• There aren’t many mini-games. There’s technically only one that you can play alone (with several mini-mini-games inside it), then there’s the multiplayer mini-games, which are frustrating most of the time. I spent an all-nighter trying to cash in 300 chibi coins on a multiplayer mini game, but I just kept going back to where I started.
• In general, it’s difficult to earn chibi coins. They have a guide on it, but it’s not so helpful. If you’re a person like me, you don’t have 50 friends you can refer TinierMe to every month. xD

TinierMe Dictionary

If you’re planning on playing the game, here’s some terminology you should know.

1. TM – TinierMe
2. CC – chibi coins. If somebody says “that dress is cc”, that means that the dress was bought with chibi coins.
3. GC – g-coins.  If somebody says “that dress is gc”, that means that the dress was bought with g-coins.
4. SGC or SG – super g-coins. There aren’t actually super g-coins you can buy, but in the gacha, there are special items you can get for 100 g-coins. Typically, gc items are bought with 50 gc. Thus, these special items are referred to as super g-coins.  If somebody says “that dress is sgc”, that means that the dress was bought with 100 gc.
